CATHRYN & MICAH
This wedding invitation suite was designed with timeless elegance in mind, combining the charm of handmade paper with classic details inspired by the bride’s lace wedding gown. The invitation, details card, and RSVP card, were crafted from hand-pulled paper made here at Nimble Press Studio, each finished with soft deckled edges that created a vintage, tactile experience. The invitation card was enhanced with gold leaf gilded edges, adding a touch of sophistication.
To hold the suite, I created a canvas pocket, sealed with a wax stamp and a sprig of dried grass for a natural, elegant touch. Each envelope was finished with a vintage postage set and lined with a George Stubbs’ A Repose After Shooting (1770) adding a romantic, heirloom quality to the presentation. The entire suite evoked an understated luxury with its blend of texture, metallic accents, and personalized details, creating a beautifully cohesive homage to classic elegance.

PAPER MAKING
For this suite, I hand-crafted each piece of paper to achieve a unique, vintage-inspired texture. Starting with a 100% recycled paper pulp blend, I pulled each sheet individually using deckle molds to create soft, feathery edges. The pulp was pressed and dried carefully to ensure each sheet had a slightly different, organic shape and thickness, adding to the handmade feel. I made three different shapes and shades bringing subtle variation to the suite while maintaining a cohesive look.
